Of books and obsession

So... I've been reading this book, Sweater Quest. an often-funny memoir about an insanely difficult pattern, an out-of-print book, some discontinued yarn, and the crazy... er, determined knitter trying to put them all together. It all ties in to a knitwear designer who-must-not-be-named, for fear of a cadre of lawyers materializing out of the blue and hunting you down. (The story of how the designer got that way would be funny if it weren't so bizarre.)

The upside is that as a knitter, I could relate to some of it. The downside is it made me want to go get this book. I really hate it when that happens. Because I'll probably never be able to finish one of those patterns.

Aside from that, I'm reading Westerns.

I actually dislike Westerns. So why am I putting myself through this?

Same reason why I've been mainlining "Deadwood". *points at "Narrated by"*

I need an MIB icon. I'm just torn on whether it should read, "Deus ex machina", or "Do you have any idea how badly I want to **** you?"

Sad... I know. *sigh*
