Finished
Eclipse with about 12 hours to spare.
The 'teenage fluff' label still applies. The Victoria chop suey was actually fun. But after that I had to skim through the last few chapters to avoid being overcome by the nausea. The overdose of angst just kept getting more ridiculous as I turned each page.
I couldn't make up my mind who was more worthy of a quick yet painful death: Jacob or Bella. Seriously, chick, the dude forces himself on you, and you mistake that for love? The line "I'm not masochistic" would almost be a joke, if only it wasn't so sad...
Explain to me when the meaning of no became something like, "if you're even more forceful, I'll change my mind". Yeah, I know what some people will say, "it's just a kiss". Really? He invaded her space. As in Uninvited. Unwanted. And with every intention of overpowering her. At the very least it's harrassment. He should be shot. Drawn and quartered. Stuffed into a wood chipper.
Ok, so maybe the wood chipper's a bit much. Just a bit though.
I guess pairing Edward with Alice would have made for a really boring short story, but still...
So why am I going to the midnight release party for
Breaking Dawn? Because there's no more Harry Potter, dammit! LOL...
Plus having both a New Moon and an Eclipse today is actually kinda cool... :)
