So, here's the final piece of art for the advent Sunday deal. Enjoy (I hope)?
This is, in case you didn't guess, from Sir Gawain and the Green Knight. Poem w/ translation will follow later, but I won't manage that today. So just a brief explanation on who's who: The green guy with the fugly horse is - surprise surprise - the Green Knight. On the table behind we have, from left to right: Iwain, Bishop Baldwin, King Arthur, Guinevere, Gawain and Agravain. The musicians behind the table are Maglor, Daeron and some random drummer, but they're not mentioned in the poem. ;)
Have some Middle English Christmas music to go with that! The English of the songs is closer to Modern English than the English of the poem, but they're the closest we can get. Have fun!
