Narf, narf

.... ok. This? Is entirely dawn_felagund's fault. She declared this month Finarfin Appreciation Month, and promptly my fingers told me that they'd really rather draw Narf than type stuff I have to get into my brain until Monday for the exam of d00m.

This is the first time I seriously drew Finarfin. He did feature in the Finwëan strip monopoly thingy, but that's fun and anti-OTP and doesn't count. And he's one of the random blond guys on the chapter covers for "Of the Silmarils and the Unrest of the Noldor" and "Of the Flight of the Noldor", but he's hardly recognizable as a person there, even less as anyone in particular. He's only Narf there because I know that he's supposed to be.

I apologize for the Japanese-style tea bowl. I like the shape better than that of your average European tea-cup. Besides, the Japanese with their mad obsession with masterful craftsmanship are half-Noldor anyway, so it's all good. I also apologize for the lopsided background. There's a saying in German, Der Familienfrieden hängt schief, literally meaning the family peace is askance, which means that, well, the happiness of the family isn't quite... in order. So I suppose you can interpret the askance background as a symbol of that, if you're into interpreting pictures. Or you could just admit that I fail, but where's the fun in that?

... right. Shutting up now.

Memoirs of a Geisha tonight, yay! Probably not a good movie to watch if you're doing Japanese studies, but I liked the book all right, so we'll see. And it looks soooo pretty.
