My Saturday

I've had a long, hard day and I'm very sore....woke up late for dialysis, & in getting ready had a heavy platform walker fall on my head, causing an instananeous lump that grew over the next few hours. (*side note: the AT&T guy {Chad} who came out yesterday to re-wire things had to move some of the belongings that have been set up in an organized chaos as I still unpack the house. I'd had the walker set where it fit well, out of the way, and was stabalized. When Chad put it back, he did not stabalize it. I know if he were told what had happened, he would feel awful about it, so I'm not going to tell his supervisor. /side note*) Chief Nurse Jesse called Dr. Mohan, who ordered me to go to the ER after dialysis & get a CT scan ~ which was clear. (5 words ~ Natasha Richardson & Billy Mayes) However, I was having extra trouble with the vision in my left eye, so an opthamologist was called in. The eye is in danger, though not from the hit. He proceeded to schold me like a 3-year-old about "not blowing off going to the doctor just because I don't want to," when he had NO idea the truth behind the matter was that I have several doctors I need to see AND CAN'T AFFORD TO. I still have to see my cardiologist to get cleared for the transplant list, for goodness' sake! Anyway, after Dan & I set him straight, we went home. My feelings were so injured, I went straight to bed ~ I had a good cry and a nap, and am feeling (emotionally) much better ~ though I'm still galled at the cheek of the man! My head is very tender to the touch and painful without touch, and I have a lovely goose egg to show for it, but I've overcome worse. Let's hope tomorrow brings a better day all around!
