Life is nothing without friends

The past  couple days have been pretty awesome. Yesterday I got to sleep in 'til around 1:00pm and I loved every minute of it. Nick and I had talked the day before about getting together and jammin so that we could tighten up our section. It's important for the drummer and the bassist, in any band setting, to be able to understand what the other is doing and to follow one another through any musical piece. So at around 3:30, I went to his house and we jammed for about three hours. Chris joined us for the last hour. We played some Blues, Jazz, Classic Rock, Reggae, Funk, Christian and maybe some other stuff. We were strongly considering going to Gilchrist Park and set up with a small drum set, electric bass, and either a sax or an electric/acoustic guitar. Definitely going out next week though, even if we have to battle with the old people and their Bluegrass. People should come and watch us, give us a little support. Call me before hand to confirm that we are going to come.

Later that night, I went to see the premier showing of Pirates 3 at midnight. Yea, I know there were shows at 8, 8:30, and 11:30 but the movie wasn't suppose to be out till Friday so the true premier was still the midnight. It was really good and really corny, but I guess most movies have their good and bad parts. Overall, I would say go watch it if you like Pirates at all and make your own opinion.

Today, I slept in for a while then went to the Music Stand to see if I could get a job there for temporary purposes. The owner wasn't in today so they told me to come back tomorrow and talk to him. I guess Joe talked to him about me and David (owner) said that he was impressed with my playing on Easter so that sounds good. I went to Books A Million after that and read my Stephen King some more. I swear I'll finish it some day. Went to Scots tonight and chilled for a few hours. I love hanging out with friends. There is nothing better in life that can beat that in my opinion. We played horse shoes and played with fire. We also watched an amazing movie called The Confederate States of America that was about what today would be like if the South had won the war.

More good news concerning my job status, some guy called me tonight about needing a bass player, so I might just have a gig here soon. that would be so awesome.

God Bless!!!
