Playhouse Presents: City Hall

SkyArts has the synopsis/plot of City Hall up on their site, plus a new picture.

When an attractive housewife in her forties suddenly finds herself in the political spotlight, reactions are naturally evoked

Dorothy Green (played by Olivia Williams) is the feisty woman who goes a step further by speaking up against the Summer riots, instantly becoming a YouTube sensation. In no time at all, her pretty face and far-from-political body are fearlessly flaunted on the covers of magazines, and before she has a chance to take it all in, she finds she is not only eligible for entering the Mayoral race, but that she is also in it to win it.

Needless to say, not everyone is well-receptive of this development, and especially not her handsome, stereotype Conservative opponent, who shamelessly does everything in his power to dishearten and ridicule her.

"Just remember, while the audience is busy looking at your legs - they’re not listening to a word you’re saying"

When Dorothy - now the Mayor of London - is invited on a chat show, things get slightly out of control and she finds herself drowning in this new world of power, corruptness and betrayal.

Will she hold on to her self-control or will Dorothy unleash the mother and woman she is told to keep under wraps?
