Olivia cast in 'The Seventh Son'
Deadline Hollywood reports that Olivia has been cast opposite Ben Barnes, Jeff Bridges, and Julianne Moore in the movie adaptation of Orson Scott Card’s series of young adult books about a teen who learns the art of wizardry after learning that he is the seventh son of a seventh son.
British actress Olivia Williams will star opposite Ben Barnes, Jeff Bridges and Julianne Moore. The film is an adaptation of a series of young adult books about a teen who learns the art of wizardry after discovering that he is the seventh son of a seventh son. The Seventh Son is produced by Thomas Tull, Basil Iwanyk and Lionel Wigram. Jon Jashni and Alysia Cotter will executive produce. Williams’ credits include Roman Polanski’s The Ghost Writer, The Sixth Sense, An Education, which earned her a SAG nomination, and Wes Anderson’s Rushmore.
The Seventh Son also stars Alicia Vikander, Antje Traue and Kit Harrington. It will be directed by Sergei Bodrov with a script from Matt Greenberg and Chuck Leavitt.
The film is an adaptation of a series of young adult books that followed Tom Ward, a young boy training to be an exorcist in the 1700's who must learn how to exorcise ghosts, contain witches, and bind boggarts. Trouble begins when he's tricked into releasing the most evil witch in the world.
