The Nancy Drew MemeWhen did you first hear of the teen detective?Probably when I was really young, but I didn't really start comprehending/reading until the 5th or 6th grade.
Do you remember the first book you read?The continuation from the Originals in the late '90's.
Do you remember the last?#28 Mardi Gras Masquerade from the new Girl Detective series, one of my favs so far! At first I didn't like this new series, but it's been improving so much.
What is one thing you love about Nancy Drew?That she gets to go on adventures and is very put-together (and in a way, has an ideal life).
Is there anything you dislike? If so, what?The whole Ned Nickerson (her boyfriend) vs. Frank Hardy (from The Hardy Boys) thing!
Have you watched the 1995 television series?Yep. I vaguely remember when it aired, and now my sister has the dvds. I have to admit it wasn't bad, but it wasn't very good either. The only thing that was done well was the casting of George (and maybe Bess).
Which do you prefer: TV show/movies or the books?Probably books, although the 1977 series casted the perfect actress to play Nancy!
How many Nancy Drew books do you own?About 50 or 60, mostly from used books stores, library sales, and eBay. A year ago I had like zero.
Which is your favorite book series?All/Most of them are good in their own way so it's hard to say. Probably the 1988 SuperMysteries series.
Now the big question. Which guy do you believe is perfect for Nancy?Why'd you have to ask me that? It depends on the series because it's different each time! Either Frank or Ned, that's all I can say!

How do you feel about the fairly controversial 'Nancy Drew On Campus' series?Haven't read it yet (I own like 3 of the books) so I can't say. I do know that Ned gets the boot, and that doesn't sound good.
How do you feel about 'Confessions of a Teen Sleuth'?Haven't read it yet.
If you had the power to change one thing about Nancy's life, what would it be?The Ned vs. Frank controversy.

On a scale of one to ten, how would you rate your obsession?Not too high - maybe 4 or 5, but when it comes to Nancy teaming up with the Hardy Boys, it rises more haha.
Name ONE scene from the books that you love. As cruel as it is, just one, please.I don't know - anytime Nancy and the Hardys team up I guess (in the older series), or there was a nice Nancy/Ned moment on a backporch swing in...I think it was #27 Intruder in the new series.
Do you believe Nancy was a real person, as some speculate?I think some of her characteristics may have been inspired by a number of real-life people, who knows!
If you had the opportunity to play Nancy in a movie, would you?If I believed in the story/script.
How many Nancy Drew video games have you played?Three - I own about seven (PC games, right?).
Do you feel that there is a certain age above which you are too "old" for Nancy Drew?I don't think so. I was a fan when I was younger, stopped for a few years, and picked it up again.
Last question: Do you believe that Nancy Drew, teenage sleuth, will live on in the years to come?Yes. As for the Hardy Boys (I know, this is a Nancy survey but whatever), they better do something quick because it seems like they are going downhill.
