They are showing Due South at school today! The episode Free Willy, to be specific. What did I expect when taking a "Canadian Popular Culture" course anyways?
At the rate I'm going, I may get my degree by next spring/summer (just the basic one, not the 4 year as I don't see the need for that extra year). Afterwards, I'm sort of planning on going to college for a year or two to fine-tune what I want to do: either book publishing or television broadcasting. Unfortunately, I would have to move to a bigger city (namely Toronto or Vancouver)! I'm actually not sure those two occupations are what I want to do. I mean, just because I really like media, it doesn't mean it has to be my job! The pay and hours aren't great, although it depends where/who I work for. If I like what I'm doing, and it makes a decent living, it doesn't matter to me.
My workload has decreased - I feel like I've been driving along, and then all of a sudden I hit the brake. I'm sort of restless. I know that I should be taking this extra time to finally relax, but ironically enough, I can't. For example, I would just sit down and read for pleasure, but then I get up after a bit and start cleaning when I really don't need to. It's maddening!
On a random side note I'm thinking about a future vacation - probably waaay down the line, when I have the time and money. For some reason I'm interested in going to San Francisco. I don't know why, but it seems like a cool city - a mix of classic and modern. I also wouldn't mind going to Europe again (I went to France once in high school) but again, the moolah. Possibly England or Spain...Italy or Greece? Oh, and I can't forget our home and native land! I should be seeing my own country - maybe B.C. or the Maritimes.
