My mother grew Kiwi's in Northern Ca. For some reason the vines stunk like garbage! It smelled so bad!

That's so strange! I've never heard that about kiwis. I know that there are certain trees that smell like rotting flesh in bloom.
Maybe the kiwi flower smells? I'll have to take note to smell mine as they grow.

I wanna garden so bad. I am so jealous of you. But happy that you are enjoying all that this beautiful earth has to offer.

Once you try it you'll be addicted! not sure how soon you guys will buy a house, but if you can't wait you can always join a community garden and get a small plot just for you. I hear it's also an awesome way to meet new people and other gardeners.
