It surprises me how little (relatively) has been written about Germany's reunification. Usually it's sort of tacked-on as an endnote to books about the Cold War, and it bothers me that so many publications make it sound as if it was all peace love and rainbows once that Wall came down. Even the books that make note of the 'potential challenges' facing the reunified Germany tend to leave it at that. I know it's still an on-going process, but surely after twenty years there should be some done on what's been achieved so far, and what still needs to be addressed?
