One of the side effects of my obsessions with the German National Team is that I seem to have developed an odd sense of loyalty towards Adidas. I've never been one to have any real preference over brand names, and since many of the other National Teams in the World Cup have their uniforms supplied by Adidas as well, my feeling this way makes no sense. But I can't help it, for some reason whenever I see the three-stripes logo I get the oddest sense of fondness, particularly if it's a black-and-white colour scheme.
