Summary: Tony was not having a good day.
Tony's day had gotten off to a bad start: someone had set each clock in his apartment to a different time, refilled his Froot Loops box with FiberOne, and completely rearranged all of the clothes in his dresser and closet. He managed to make it to work on time, rumpled and hungry, only his computer was randomly quoting movies. He did think that Porky Pig's "t-t-that's all, folks" when he closed a program was funny, except for the glare it earned him from Gibbs.
The first he blamed on Ziva, the sneaky little lock-pick. The second was obviously McGee. That wasn't the end of it though. Abby had to be behind the (thankfully) phony e-mail from an ex-girlfriend requesting a DNA sample and he refused to think about exactly where Ducky might have gotten the false eye he found in his water glass.
Finally, the day was over and it was time to go home. He reminded himself that April Fools Day was only once a year. He could handle it. He could even admit that he possibly-maybe-probably deserved it.
Still, it was the last straw when he opened his car door and a tidal wave of bouncy balls poured out. All he could do was stare, one hand still on the door handle, as hundreds of balls tumbled and flowed around his feet. Big, little, pastel, fluorescent, polka-dots, swirls... were those sparkles?
First thing tomorrow morning, he was putting in a vacation request for next year.
"Problem, DiNozzo?"
Tony turned carefully, shuffling his feet through the balls still falling out of his car and watched one of smiley faced balls bounce slowly towards Gibbs, who of course caught it.
Gibbs tossed the ball back to him. "I think you dropped this."
"You win, boss," Tony conceded with a grin.
