My sexy new bike
Internets, on Saturday, I bought a bike.
It is a Fuji Crosstown 2.0 (step-through), and it's the prettiest bike I've ever seen. It's coming home tomorrow.
I've decided to bike to work instead of riding the T. Anything that requires me getting up earlier (i.e. the gym) has a slim, slim chance of being incorporated into routine, and really, the T takes me about an hour to cover 6 miles.
I can do 6 miles in an hour on a bike, damn it.
And after seeing how much chaiya took to biking around, it's encouraging. Lady dropped a ton of weight, while just getting around!
So now I'm just bidding my time until it warms up enough to take it out everyday-- which gives me time to build up stamina on the random warm days we're getting now.
And I AM SO FREAKIN EXCITED, LET ME TELL YOU INTERNETS.
Speaking of, chaiya, what odometer do you have? It's the only little piece of gear I'd like that I didn't find at Ferris Wheels (who, BTW, are awesome. Jeff, the owner, spent two hours with us on Saturday, helping me figure out what I want, what will serve me best, and getting all the acroutement I want/need together).
PS: I now need a biking icon! DONE :D
