I've been under false assumptions. I assumed that if one gave her number to a boy, he would not call. That the whole "Can I have your number" question was merely to get a number so that at the end of the night they could pool their numbers together and crow over what suave studs they were. I did not believe that anyone actually called these numbers. I've been proven wrong. They do call. And sometimes when they call (undergrad boy), you wish that you'd simply said goodnight and RAN away rather than give out your real number. I'm cursing the fact that drunk boys actually can enter a number into a cell phone correctly. That must have taken them years to achieve. Then there are other boys (football coach) who call and talk to you even when you sound like a 5 year old with a head cold and haven't moved from the couch all day. I thought he was too drunk to even remember my name, and I was also mentally bashing him for saying Denver girls were stuck up for not talking to him in bars, yet he gets a girls number and never calls? (Supposedly, he lost then found it).
However, there are still boys who don't call. Like the boy who asked me if I wanted children, and could I cook, do I like fishing. He never called. Marine boy never called.
I also don't ask for numbers becase I know I'll never call!
