[the sphere comes on showing only Oliver's face; it is dirty, he has a mild cut on his head, and he looks tired and is breathing hard; his surroundings are very dim]
I know some of you aren't going to be happy about this. Which is why I'm not broadcasting until now, but... [grabs the sphere, holding it out to show his surroundings; they are still dim and hard to see, but a sparking loose wire nearby helps identify that he is in a hallway of the ship; it is in ruins, with standing water on the floor, sparking and broken equipment visible all around, and holes of both the natural and the planet-consuming kind riddling everything] If that commander is in here somewhere, then somebody has to find him. It's the only way for anyone to leave!
The suites are closest, so I'm going to search them first. I'm starting with... [pauses, letting go of the sphere, which shows the back of his head as he studies the plate on the door in the dimness] The Elara Suite, I guess. I'm going to broadcast my progress just in case...well. [turns back to the sphere, giving a wan smile] You never know.
But just in case... I mean, I don't want things to end up like last time. So if this idea doesn't work out somehow, thanks everybody. As crazy as everything has been, I've had a lot of fun, too! [grins]
And don't worry. This will all work out somehow. Everything always does!
[after one more reassuring smile, he turns back to the door and takes a deep breath; the view of the sphere now shows more than just his head, revealing that he has numerous tears in his clothing and is bleeding from several wounds, including one on his leg that looks potentially serious] Okay, here we go...
