I've gotta say, if the ship could've chosen any malfunction, this one isn't so bad. I mean, not that I want anybody to starve, but I'd rather spend time with people than be chased by crazy robots asking personal questions!
[pauses, his smile faltering, and sighs] And I think that about ended the bright side for the moment. [hesitates] All right, I'm gonna admit it. I'm getting stir crazy on this ship! I never thought that was possible. I guess the TARDIS had me spoiled. But I've been trying to work out some way off, and the best I've got is to get to the restricted levels--except it looks like we can't unless one of these malfunctions de-restricts them. And I'm not just talking locked doors here--whatever's keeping us out of half the ship, it's a lot more than that.
So! [more cheerful now, determined] I figure the best thing I can do right now is meet as many people as possible and see what else we can do to get ready for our great escape. Who's with me?
