[is it any surprise that, upon seeing the Commander's message, Oliver (and his ever-present backpack) went right for those lifts and wound up in the red forest? no? didn't think so. he's currently in the midst of the trees, one hand just letting go of the sphere, showing that he turned it on purposefully]
So I tried to catch the Commander after we got that message, but I couldn't get that lift to work at all... [looks momentarily troubled, but it quickly passes] But! I tried the other one--the one that had the captain's gloves near it. And look where it brought me! How cool is this? I think red definitely beats green when it comes to forests. Not to mention it's...well, I think it's real. Or it seems like it, anyway. Like, think Chicago, except obviously it's a forest, so it has real animals, not people, and nobody's trying to make you live somebody else's life. But look! A squirrel! [lets go of the sphere and points at a squirrel running along the ground past him, toward a nearby tree with nuts at its base]
Anyway, I haven't gotten to check out much of the forest yet, but I did find this. [swings the sphere around to show a
wooden statue] Several of them, actually. Any thoughts?
I'm going to keep exploring for now. Hopefully the captain's still around here somewhere--or another lift is! There's gotta be something here to find. [and he's determined to find it if there is] Oh, and if anybody wants to join me, let me know!
