Sorry for the entry last night. I'm in somewhat better spirits, so don't be alarmed!
There's plenty of bad news, but I'm sick of talking about it, let's have some good things!

- Perhaps the best news of all is that my aunt went into labor earlier today! It's funny because we were having a party for her tonight, but no need to despair, we will simply have the party in a few days, but with a child to admire. His name will be Charles Augustus, and they will call him Gus. I'm very excited. This will be the first male on my mother's side of the family in three (yes, THREE) generations. I'm kind of excited because Katherine, my aunt, lives in Baltimore. She lives in Ten Hills, Molly! My only other cousin on this side of the family lives in New York. Her name is Emma Jane and she is a stunningly beautiful toddler. I have such good family!

- I am going to a whole lot of concerts. Yes, that means I'm dropping obscene amounts of money, but whatever, it makes me happy and it's slightly more useful than just spending it all on burritos and candy like I would if I weren't going to shows. This is the current list, and it is prone to change: Dan Deacon with Nuclear Power Pants at Ottobar. This one is next week. I am not letting Jason's presence get me down, since about 95% of my favorite people in the world are going to be there. This includes the love of my life Lizzi, the Carver kids, and my good City friends, too. Next is Washed Out with Small Black and Pictureplane at Floristree. I love Floristree, it's my Happy Place, and it's easily my favorite venue in Baltimore. I am bringing Gioja to this show, since I think she will appreciate the whole "no rules" aspect. Yeah. That's going to be fun. I don't even know the bands super well, but Floristree never lets me down. Except for that one time, but whatever. Then, this is actually a tentative one but it's looking more and more possible... Gogol Bordello at Rams Head. I hate Rams Head with all of my being, since very little of the absolutely obscene ticket cost goes to the bands, but for Gogol Bordello, I might have to deal. I might even be able to score a deal, I know Lizzi has connections. We'll see. Despite my dislike for Rams Head, I can't pass up Gogol Bordello. And finally, Beach House with Washed Out at 2640. 2640 is a weird space, since it's basically an abandoned church, but that works really well for lo-fi psychadelic shit like Beach House. The grand total is $69, $40 of which going to Gogol Bordello... -sigh- I don't know where I'm going to make all of this, but I'll find a way. Maybe babysitting for Charles Augustus? :D

- And now for some random other goings-on. For those not in the know, Baltimore got fucking pounded with TWO BLIZZARDS. Our grand total of snow for the winter was... brace yourself... 74 inches. So far. More on the way. The roads are still blocked up, cars are still buried, the entire world is a barren wasteland of dirty snow and ice, and it's been a week. Whatever, the buses are running again and I am no longer literally snowed into my house. Still, wow.
I had a really nice talk with WIll Stokes the other night. Good guy. I was kind of surprised.
Yeah. Okay. I guess that's all for now...

not so bad, i love my family, gioja, blizzard, snow, will stokes, concertgasm, charles augustus, floristree, what the fuck 2010, washed out, beach house, jason, nuclear power pants, dan deacon, gogol bordello
