NaNo

The Nano 50,000 word challange is coming up in a matter of days. I have been convinced I would never be able to do it. Between class, my existing writing projects, drawing, and movie making, where would I find the time?

That was before. Before I had a plot for a story idea so freaklisious, I just HAD to give it a try. It is an idea for a story that is completely different from any other story I have ever written. It will be dirty, political, funny, and horrifying at the same time. My friends will be shocked when they hear all about it. I can't even believe it came into my head. I blaim my taste for Indie Horror, and the movie Teeth. Thank God the consept acutally does come from legend, so there is no copyright infringment.

I still have yet to decide if I should set this story in the real world, making it more of a political statement, or in my own little fantasy world, making it a twisted adult fairt tale akin to Pan's Labryinth (I loved that movie). I suppose I'll have to ask around, get some opinions. I know most of my friends in the writing community are fantasy buffs, but I doubt they'll have a swell of opinions when I tell them exactly what this story is going to be about.

But the more I write about writing this story, the more excited I am to do it. It might just be the late night talking, but I can't wait to get started. And who knows? Maybe by the time morning comes around, I'll think it is stupid and abondon the whole idea all together. Or maybe I'll have one of my famous, deliciously weird dreams tonight and fuel the fire even further. One thing is for sure, I have both math and geography tomorrow, and a bus ride into the cities to go to an art museum on Thursday. I'll have plenty of time to collect my thoughts.

And I'm going to need an editor, someone who is definantly not the squimish type. I'll have to ask around about that too. Also, I'm going have to start doing a lot of research on some pretty sensitive topics.

Thank God for my strong constitution as well!
