France fact: If a dog has too much soysauce, he will throw up.

So. I have been getting closer and closer to the cutie english folk I have met. Saturday we went to the beach Henri took me to the first day and had an amazing time. Earlier that morning, I finally caught the fresh fruit and veggie market. It was really huge, it stretched for a few streets. We got grapes, strawberries, nectarines, and melon and when we were lying in the sun on the beach in bewteen swimming, we enjoyed the yummy fresh fruit. This is a great trick Michelle and I have knownf or a while. A new friend met us there, Marie. She is gorgeous and looks almost exactly like Claudia Schiffer, but with a rounder face and is much younger. After staying at the beach until the sun grew weak, we walked the long walk along the beautiful path along the sea and got pizza at a yummy pizza place. After that, we wene straight to a party that was being held on the beach. It was... moumou's? birthday. We just sat drinking and eating cake on the beach. I met some cute new people, stephanie and emmanuel. I also learned that my host, Guilllaume, has a big thing for the Aussie, Anna, who has probably become my closest friend. She has a diva cup, too, but they call it a moon cup. Anyway, we walked home in a light rain. That day was a lot of fucking walking.

Yesterday. We had a sushi party! Guillaume made sushi and we invited Henri, Anna, Pat, Stephanie, Emmanuel, Tiseane... and others. We drank more of that great sctoch and got a little silly. different languages were flying in every direction. We drank even more wine and ate yummy sushi. At one point I spilled a bunch of soysauce on the floor and cookie lapped it all up. After a while, cookie puked twice on the rug. I felt horrible. But the night was wonderful. Talking and laughing. People are a lot more friendly in other countries. We were talking about how US people don't make friends so readily, and people said the people from the US they knew all said the same. But even in the UK, people are really friendly and make friends just over one night. It is just more and more of our goddamn insecurity and wondering and wasting our lives away wondering how we look to other people. People like it when you are friendly. That is that. I said that it is very hard to make friends in the US sometimes when you move to a new city and everyone agreeed that is sad. Hmm. i promised Anna that I would send her a bunch of burt's bees, because she dated an american once and got addicted to the stuff.

Today is the national holiday, or fête national. I am invited to a picnic during the day and a party tonight. And, at 5am, my train leaves. It arrives in Paris at 9am, I have to take the subway across town for 45min with my 50lb suitcase, to the airport, and my flight leaves in the afternoon. Then I reach London, wait around for a few hours, go to Chicago, catch a bus to rockford, stay in a hotel, wake up, take another bus to dubuque, and then somehow make it to iowa city eventually... It is going to be a long long couple of days.
