Roll it! Rolling!
One of the things that Ellie really understands and loves is rolling. She gets the biggest smile on her face for patty cake, for the moment we get to the line, "Roll it!" Right now, she rotates her hands a little bit but is starting to be able to rotate her forearms around each other. There's nothing like this pure joy out of such an innocent creature. And she also gets that it is similar to rolling on the ground. We can't really tell if she's always saying "roll it" or "rolling" though. The other day, I was on my back on the floor getting ready to do a sit-up. Ellie pushed my shoulder and yelled, "Roll it!" Andrew and I busted up laughing and then the three of us took turns rolling all over the floor. This must be her little version of, "Stop! Hammertime!" because last night she announced "Roll it!" first before dropping to the floor at Costco and rolling all over the place.
