Moody is home, on lots of medicines, but home nonetheless! He keeps meowing at me and begging for food, but isn't eating anything I give him. He looks like a new cat!
I mentioned briefly in my last post that we lost power for a few days. There was an early nor'easter here that dumped 12+ inches of snow in my area. That amount isn't too unusual, but not this early in the year. Since the trees still had leaves on them, many couldn't support the weight of the heavy, wet snow on the already full branches. Some many trees fell blocking roads and taking down the power lines. We lost power for 3 days (Saturday through Monday). We had just arrived home from Eleanor's first road trip to a dark house. The inside of the house stayed warm enough the first night, but dropped into the 50s by the next day. So we had to stay with family and friends until the power came back on. This is the 2nd outage this year, the first being 1 day out during Hurricane Irene.
The roads were awful Saturday.
And the damage was apparent on Sunday.
Luckily, we can fix our clothesline and no part of the house was hit.
