Oh well, Ol'. It wasn't meant to be, then. I remember my parents were going to buy a house when they were still married. I really wanted them to do it--it was quite nice. But there was a big crack in the parking lot, and they did not like the mortgage terms my parents had... It made me quite sad. At this time, of course, it did not seem like they would get a divorce in a couple years (which they did). (Of course, in the middle of it they had bought another house and had to deal with selling it later--it wasn't a good time...)
So everything is probably for the best. Maybe you'll find a better house yet!
Honestly, I don't understand how can you not fall in love with a house you want to live in and how can you live in a house you don't love. There's got to be a connection. I'd be entirely miserable if I don't feel it and would continue looking for The House.
i'm sorry :( it's probably better to rent than to stretch your limits. you'll own a house some day. meanwhile enjoy not pulling weeds and not mowing the lawn :)

+ я могу твердо сказать, что когда у тебя дом - у тебя НАМНОГО меньше свободного времени. Оно тебе надо?

Уже надо. Я морально готова. Но - не судьба.
