Wow - well, time for what has become my bi-annual journal update.
It's been since May ... what to talk about. Let's hit all the areas of life:
Work - Still at RLI things are wonderful, making serious bank, great co-workers that make me laugh throughout the day, good bosses that respect and appreciate me and great customers, selling something that helps kids. I got to go to Dallas, TX recently for a reward for making Goal last year, got to hang with President of Sales and President of the Company, do sight seeing, stay in an awesome modern hotel, see programs in action at a school with kids and teachers,etc.
Love Life - Heather - what can I say, she's good. She gives me all the love I could ever want both physically and emotionally, she continues to grow and mature, and with us doing the somewhat long distance dating over the next 2 years while she finishes college, we will continue to do things at the right pace and give us both time and perspective and growth. Aside from the fact that she is still coming out of her post-high school - college phase and i'm in the post college - just working and living phase, so we are in 2 different places in life in that regard, but it isn't really an issue. Just means she is a poor college student for now. She is beautiful and good to me ...and has proven time and again just how much she cares about me and cares how I feel. We went to several weddings this year so that conversation has come up many times, kids, our future, etc, which is good to talk about a lot to make sure we are on the same page.
Music - Well BSP played a show or two, I did a solo gig up here in wis. rapids. I've gotten some music equipment like drums, new guitar and amp, but due to how busy i've been haven't been able to record/create nearly as much as i'd like. Miles' life has gotten busy, but I'm very very happy for him and proud of him as well, so we are both just doing the happy life thing rather than the angsty music thing for now.
Media - seen lots of new music and movies that list could go on and on. Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World sticks out in my mind right not. Going to see HP7 tonight.
Friends - Kim and Lee got married they have proven to be by far my best friends in the area and cool that heather and I get to hang out with them a bunch. Kim is a good influence on heather in a lot of ways too. Still keep in touch with Matt and Aaron who are coming to visit in a couple weekends, yay!
Family - Caleb is in Texas, still surviving for now. I try to email him and call him to show him I care and love him. I've sent him money a few times too. He only contacts me when he needs something. Dad is in the hostpital - vasucar dementia. I've visited him a bunch over the year it's strange for him to not be calling all the time now. I feel so bad for him and for Caleb. Broken men. Feel bad for my mom and try to support her and tell her how great of a mother and woman she has always been.
Football - Lovin' the packers. :-p
Spirituality - about where it's always been. I understand that all of the universe and the life within it, the laws of phsyics that govern it, are so intricate, so complex ... that there is no simple answer such as "a big man in the sky made it". However, it seems hard to swallow that the answer is "well, it's all randomly by chance". Although I guess it's up to US to decide the reasons, the purpose, eh?
