Happy birthday, CBeebies!
My boys have been long-time fans of the CBeebies channel on Starhub.
In a way, I feel like they have grown with the channel - they adored In the Night Garden and Teletubbies in their baby days, got busy with Mister Maker and I Can Cook and now they love the hijinks that Charlie and Lola get up to and Sean enjoys watching the science experiments on Nina and the Neurons.
We were delighted to be invited to CBeebies' birthday celebrations at Art Boot Camp recently. CBeebies may be a year older but we all know it is still a young channel at heart.
The children gathered together to do paint their favourite CBeebies characters and pen their wishes on a giant birthday card for CBeebies. The highlight of the day was when the much-loved CBeebies' mascots Teletubbies (Po is so cute!), Zingzillas and Super Numtum made an appearance. Jo's eyes just about popped out when he saw them literally larger than life :) We sang the birthday song and blew out the cake together.
It was a fun morning of hugs, balloons and cupcakes. The best kind.
To extend CBeebies' birthday celebrations to everyone, parents can also submit birthday shout-outs for their little ones and have it featured on the channel, CBeebies website as well as its Facebook page.
All throughout July, CBeebies has also scheduled special birthday programmes on the channel. You can send CBeebies well-wishes in their birthday month (July) and stand a chance to win an awesome trip to CBeebies Land in the UK. How awesome is that!
