Superfundae indeed!

How was your Father's Day weekend?

We had a really fun Saturday evening at Aviva Superfundae held at The Meadow at Gardens By the Bay.

The first of its kind family fun-ival, Aviva Superfundae was aimed to get families outdoors and disconnected from their devices to connect in person, for a time of creative play and heedless fun together.

We knew we were in for a fun evening when the boys were asked to pick out NERF guns as their door gifts!

And sure enough, we were blown away by the smorgasboard of family activities for both adults and children and everything looked so fun. Made us instantly regret arriving so late with only 1.5 hours before closing time!

The boys participated in balance bike and skate scooter races. Baby Jo did an adorable milk dash - and he got to drink the milk at the end of it!

The beer dash would have been very apt for Foops but he was too busy eating his way through Pasar Bella ;)

The boys also spent quite a bit of time at the NERF guns and Transformer challenges. We got stamps whenever we completed the games stations and at the end of the day, we could trade them in for Transformers KREO toys (for the boys) and My Little Pony figurines (for me, haha).

It was also a big treat to see the National Day rehearsal fly past of 50 planes while bopping along to the catchy songs by local bands 53A and Penny Lane!

There was a long list of workshops and games we missed - Craycrayspray Water Play with Nerf super soakers (which looked crazy fun), mosaic tile making, DIY play dough, painting, soap clay making just to name a few. So much to see and do, so little time!

We ended off at the Main Tent and caught the final hourly cannon of Haribo candies (seriously) - except they were desperately trying to get rid of all the candy as the event was ending so we got A LOT OF CANDIES!!!

I loved the carnival atmosphere and the fact that there was something for everyone there. I hope they have the event again next year - and lesson learnt, we will make sure we go down early to try out all the activities!
