How are your March holidays coming along?
We had the best start to ours - we had a family staycation at the grand
Pan Pacific hotel!
In celebration of Singapore's 50th birthday, the
Pan Pacific Hotels Group has launched a celebratory promotion,
SG50 Weekend Staycation at five of its hotels: Pan Pacific Singapore, Pan Pacific Orchard, Singapore, PARKROYAL on Beach Road, PARKROYAL on Kitchener Road and PARKROYAL on Pickering.
Exclusively for Singaporeans and Singapore residents for weekends until 29 December 2015, the
SG50 Weekend Staycation package is priced from SGD258 (subject to service charge and taxes) and includes:
• Complimentary breakfast for two
• SGD50 daily in-house credit
• 20% savings for dinner at Atrium, Edge, Hai Tien Lo, Keyaki and Pacific Marketplace
• Complimentary Internet access
On top of it, guests who book the Pacific Rooms will have exclusive access to Champagne breakfast, afternoon tea or evening cocktails at the Pacific Club on level 38.
Sean and Ryan remembered
our stay at the
Pan Pacific during the National Day rehearsals (fireworks galore!) last year and they were besides themselves with excitement at the prospect of returning again.
They packed all their favourite things into their own luggage bags and reminded me a few times to request for an extra pullout bed and cot like the last time ;)
Look at their excited little faces during our check-in!
We settled down in our lush Harbour Studio King Room, admired the gorgeous panoramic view of Marina Bay from our 28th floor window and... crashed into our heavenly beds en masse for a much-needed afternoon nap. Checking in is tiring business. Zzz.
Post-nap, we changed into our swimmers and headed for the pool. The boys had lots of fun scooting around and splashing in the water. Jo who has only just recently started to walk was happily toddling around the pool chasing after his brothers.
We popped over next door to Millenia Walk before deciding to head back to the hotel for dinner. Such a treat to have so many options within walking distance!
We decided on good ol' Japanese fare at a family favourite,
Keyaki. The boys had a bit of fun exploring the beautifully-sculpted Japanese garden and koi pond outdoors.
We had a very hearty delicious dinner of sushi, sashimi, gindara, wagyu beef, chicken yakitori. The children ate so much!
When we settled the bill, we were very pleased to find out that there was an additional 20% discount on top of our $50 dining credit. Turned out to be a very affordable meal for the 5 of us!
After dinner, the boys had another round in the bath tub and then it was bedtime. We had a super good night's sleep on the comfy hotel bed, albeit with two sneaky little bed invaders. The magic formula of premium hotel beds, the thousand-count sheets and thick blackout curtains just cannot be replicated at home no matter how hard you tried!
Would have loved to go for a much-needed rub at the spa or check out the Pacific Club for a round of cocktails with the husband if not for the kids - oh well, maybe next time!
Next morning, we had an early breakfast at Edge. We were really spoilt for choice with the wide spread of local and international food choices, fresh fruit juices and sweet desserts.
The boys could not resist another dip at the pool before we checked out at noon. The boys (and I) were really sad to leave. We all wished our stay could be longer.
Thanks for the most lovely stay, Pan Pac! We hope to be back soon!
The
SG50 Weekend Staycation package is valid at all
Pan Pacific and PARKROYAL Hotels for weekends from now until 29 December 2015 (terms and conditions apply). Go book yourselves a well-deserved staycation now!
