Tea time with scrumptious Spider-Man bakes
We had a nice unexpected tea-time treat recently: Spider-Man inspired bakes from Breadtalk. My superhero-crazy boys were so stoked!
Inspired by the adventures of Peter Parker as the Ultimate Spider-Man, BreadTalk introduces this exclusive Spider-Man collection with the theme 'The Hero in You'.
My boys loved the Power Up 蜘蛛能量包 chocolate-glazed buttery brioche buns ($1.90) that came in four flavours (white chocolate, dark chocolate, strawberry and matcha). They looked so cute munching on their buns together :)
My favourite was the Super-Hero 超级英雄 cake ($38.80) that came coated in a luscious chocolate icing. I was half-expecting it to be a rich cloyingly sweet chocolate cake, but to much surprise, it was actually super light and not-too-sweet sponge cake with generous filling of strawberries. Very delicious, and it was wiped out very quickly in my household!
I imagine it will be a big hit at children's parties and playdates, especially if your child loves Spider-Man.
The other products in the collection include: The Amazing Chiffon 超凡威风 ($8.80), an airy-light and fluffy vanilla chiffon cake, and and Net The World 网罗天下 ($45.80), which is essentially decadent praline walnut and chocolate creams between layers of chocolate almond sponge cake covered in a chocolate glaze and crowned with fresh strawberry slices. Mmm, sounds so good.
