I have a wedding to attend in 6 weeks as a bridesmaid. I'm already worried about how I'll fit into the dress...And then I ate a 1100 calorie dinner-breakfast.
Thank you Bugerville for putting calorie counts on the recipes. I really didn't need to know that the amazing delicious breakfast burrito with hashbrowns and OJ was that extreme in it's calorie. No, no I didn't.
(I still ate it all, bringing my daily total to 1900. I walked to work vs. biking or driving, so I think I earned it.)
Oh! Forgot to say, yes, Portland did get snow yesterday, but not as much as was expected. It was still 20 degrees outside the last 2 nights at work; worse, it was 23 degrees inside the building. I had my personal heater on me when I was sitting (which was not helping).
If you find yourself working in a unheated building, this is the wardrobe I suggest you adopt. The last 3 winters I have learned much about staying warm.
-Under layer: Fitted Under Armor pant and shirt, as skin tight as possible. (Ladies, shave before, lotion and talc-free baby powder for all to keep from being itchy)
-Legs: Properly fitting fleece-lined jeans (Carhartt makes some awesome ones!), Optional: warm-ups or sweats over.
-Torso: fitted t-shirt over the undershirt, fitted sweater over (meaning not baggy, doesn't need to be skin tight, cropped ski jacket or fleece over that.
-Head and hands: Fingerless gloves or "glommits", a hat that covers your ears, or a scarf wrapped over the top of your head before going around the neck (tuck it in to prevent it getting stuck in machines, if this is a hazard for you like it is for me)
I promise, you will be able to move if nothing is clunky or baggy. Mobility is important to my job!
