If you comment on this post, I will choose seven interests from your profile and you will explain what they mean and why you are interested in them. Post this along with your answers in your own journal so that others can play along

prjt2501 picked these 7 things:

Arcades:  Well, I like arcades because of pinball.  Although it's a shame anymore that arcades are fading away, closing up etc.  There are still a few around that we go to, to get our fix of pinball!  I used to love going to Jenkinson's arcade on the Point Pleasant Boardwalk to play pinball, that's what started my fascication with pinball.

Cows:  Well, I think cows are cute!  Plus I collect cow stuff, it's all over my kitchen.

Mammoth Cave:   When we went to Kentucky a few years ago, we spent some time at Mammoth Cave National Park.  This cave is just amazing..they have documented over 370 miles of it!  I am fascinated by the underground I guess, though I am too much of a chicken to really ever consider cave exploring.  But I love cave tours and want to do a "wild cave tour" someday, to see what it must be really like to explore a cave..but I would only do it with a guide!

Pinball:  Well, I guess I kinda mentioned this above.  I got into pinball when I was younger playing at the boardwalk.  Also, when I got older and started working summers there, I would spend my breaks playing, I just loved it!  Now it's evolved that my husband and I run pinball leagues and tournaments, and we even have 2 games in our basement!

Star One:  I love Star One!  It is one of Arjen Lucassen's projects and I would say is mainly responsible for getting me into progressive metal a few years back, along with Ayreon.  And the Star One album "Space Metal" includes two of my favorite singers, Russell Allen and Damian Wilson :)  Each song on the album is based on a sci-fi movie or tv show, it's realy cool!

Tempest:  Tempest is a Celtic rock band and their music is a lot of fun.  I've seen them live a few times.  For some reason when spring rolls around each year, I always get on a Tempest kick!  I actually discovered them from listening to a progressive rock radio show that used to be on a local college station, and the DJ played a snip of a song to make a point that they were a lousy band!  Well, I disagreed!

Wooden Roller Coasters:  I love roller coasters, but especially classic wooden coasters.  Just love the old fashioned rides, and my husband and I got married on a wooden coaster-The Phoenix at Knoebels!  And I belong to the American Coaster Enthusiasts.
