Just a list of thoughts
****
1. Working in L'Oreal Hong Kong - they like me :) And I've currenly been assigned to work on a Global L'Oreal Project :D :D :D hehehe, wheee!!! (still an intern though :p)

2. Cosmoprof 2005 - a three day trade convention in Wan Chai featuring cosmetics, beauty, wellness, spa, health, and the salon industries. It was big. It was HUGE!!! And yes, it is inevitable - Asia will rule the world economy in the next decade. China will dominate the manufacturing sector. They can produce everything so cheaply that they can sell it as the manufacturing cost price of a US product, and still gain profit! The Korean look is the current beauty trend, and everything that has "Korean" in it will sell; the Indian look will be next. Hong Kong and Singapore will continue to lead the financial sectors. India and Taiwan will dominate the silicone chip industry until Carbon Chips become the next standard. And Japan will still be the benchmark for quality.
Sadly, our country is still left behind.

3. "Quidam" from Cirque du Soleil. It was unbelievable. EVERYONE SHOULD WATCH CIRQUE DU SOLEIL! And for a generation like ours that have only heard about the cirus (with the human cannonballs, elephants, ringmasters, and oddities), it felt like a dream come true for me to step into a yellow and blue tent and watch the cirus performers fly, dance, and entrance :) Basta watch it!!! :D

4. I always tell myself at the beginning of the day that "Something good will happen today". I find it a great way to appreciate even the smallest thing that happens. Sometimes that good thing can be in the form a great book that I stumble upon, or meeting a new friend, or getting a sincere compliment, to something amazing like meeting someone who becomes the love of your life :)

5. Yesterday marks our third month together - although two of those months have been miles apart. But it's all good :) I will be back home in two weeks :)

6. Being here in Hong Kong really gave me a different perspective on our country and countrymen. It really is sad whenever someone here advises me to find a job here instead as "the future is brighter here" than back home. And partly, it is true. International finance and business flows through Hong Kong. It is the gateway to China in terms of transportations and financing. For the retail and consumer goods industry, it is definitely one of the most cutthroat but most rewarding markets there is. The properties here have skyrocketing prices, but are all extremely pleasant to live in - no squatters, no pollution, good schools and hospitals, efficient transportation everywhere, responsible journalism, and relatively clean government.
Yes, life will definitely be brighter for a person if s/he decides to migrate away to Hong Kong. But I'm not totally sold yet.

7. I just feel sad and lost sometimes (Correction: most of the time). Like what Mitzi said, "an inertia of nothingness". Actually, I think I'm already in motion. Trouble is, I don't know where I'm going.
