1) It's shocking, indeed! Animals are not things, human are not machines, millions don't eat enough! We can treat animals with love, work with respect, eat with grateful. But we need to get spirit, spiritual, soul, spirituality and we need to break globalization, corrupt finance, depraved politics, damaged environment, race for profits and realize, become conscious, we have to change, it's time! We are billions... on one planet!
2) It's shocking, I agree. But what average people have really being doing to break this crazy cycle? By the way, the modern life lead people to be more and more productive due to high competitiveness, since babies even haven't been born yet. Some parents are so concerned about their kids' future and start stimulating them since they're just a fetus. Does anybody have watched a documentary called Hyper Parents and Coddled Kids? In the other hand extreme simple life would be the solution? I think we should be reflexive to balance our attitudes and take responsibility to a more sustainable way of life.
3) Marcos to break the crazy circle I became Vegan. Start with a small step, not eating meat or fish (vegetarian), then skeep the egg and dairy products. You have to relearn how to eat or veganize your cooking, but I assure you that is not hard, nor boring, and you can eat very good food.
4) Ha ha, why is everyone saying one billion people must eat? Does everyone on this website not realize that we are at a population of over seven billion human beings at the moment, not only one and that we do have other sources of protein? Essentially this is a profligate system which has been created purely out of greed, not out of necessity. The cruel treatment of animals is completely unnecessary, there are many other alternative farming practices for those who eat meat and for those who are vegetarian the protein found in insects and vegetables can easily replace that of meat without any difference to taste, and finally to clarify any arguments: agriculture accounts for 70% of land water depletion, according to the UN agriculture is one of the largest contributors to global warming and we feed cattle approx 6kg of plant protein for only 1kg of animal protein, also one third of the worlds edible cereal harvest is fed to farm animals, instead of 3 billion people! :)
