today is the worst day ever. first ghana lost, then spain! i cried when spain lost, no joke. it wouldve been so awesome to be in spain when they won the world cup (which they shouldve, i hate refs). i mean, i also cried because i'd been sitting in front of the tv for 90 minutes +, and it didnt amount to anything. ughhh i want to shoot myself. not ( Read more... )

Oh man, I'm not the only person who's heard of Buck 65! Everybody should love artsy country-rap by a guy who sounds like Tom Waits.

So far I have watched parts of three World cup games. Everyone here was rooting for Australia in their match against Switzerland, because Jane the academic counselor is Australian. They lost and it was very sad. Then everybody wanted Ukraine to beat Italy, because Italy had beaten Turkey and Mete the SRA is from Turkey. Ukraine won and it was very happy. Then today I watched Ghana vs. Brazil without any loyalties, although I might have been more enthusiastic about Ghana if they weren't already down 2-0 when I started watching. So, yeah. Yay soccer?
