Sunday and Imram

Nov 20, 2005 22:47

Our reader was a little bit late for the Matins today, so Kyrios Manolis (the choirmaster) entrusted the Exapsalmos (the Six Psalms usually read in the beginning of Matins) to me. To tell the truth, I was a little bit nervous (as I always am when reading something in the church). But apparently I did it well, since Kyrios Manolis told me so :)
And as we returned home, we prepared a very nice dinner to celebrate the completion of November exams (mine and Anna's. There are still more to come in January -- but I do not want to think about it right now.
And I finally found the text of "Imram" (or "Death of St. Brendan"), the Gael-inspired poem by Tolkien! As always, it was the nice people from my dear gaeilge, who helped me. In case somebody of you is interested, here are the links were you can find both parts of this poem:
First part
Second part

Hope you enjoy it (as I did)!
