I only hear my dad say my Christian name when he is upset with me. Any other time it's Susannah, Anna-lou, Annie Oakley (what?) or any other embarrasing far off variation, many of which I'm a too embarrassed to transcribe into written English. The closest he ever comes is Susannie. We've talked about the fact that he speaks to me like I'm five, which he thinks is more endearing than annoying and I should be flattered (I'm not).
I'm close to resigning to the fact that my dad is Ned Flanders (without the steadfast religiousity). At least The Doodle-Dog (Danny's dad) had the excuse of falling off of a fire truck for his dopiness.
