born into brothels: WATCH IT
"born into brothels" is something that every American should see. well, i'll extend that to Europeans, too. but America is such a land of excess. we don't realize how badly we're inundated. or how lucky we are. or the fact that we have the ability to have everything we need and enough to eat. (i'm talking mainly about the middle class/upperly mobile). watching what these kids go through on a daily basis--chilling. yet their spirits are (were) still alive. some of them still had hope.
besides watching that tonight (whilst coming to the realization that i have no problems. my life is perfect, in the grand scheme of things) i didn't do much. i sat in the cage with friends for awhile. i visited Rand to watch gilmore girls. i wrote out my finals schedule. hahahahaha YAY FOR FUN: 14th-15th i have a final each day; the 19th i have my math / amstud finals due. the highlight is that they're all out of class. ha. the bad thing: procrastination.
it's bad news.
verrrry bad.
good things: realizations that my friends will soon return from abroad! SOON meaning, within the next few months. but being in new york for interim will be sahwweeeeeet because not only will it ROCK, i will be distracted enough to not think so much about people i miss. it's helpful.
recovering from a parent-saturated weekend. intense.
now i'm tired but i have to do crap, i.e. write some american studies journals on another top secret blog i have for class. hahaha.a yeyahahh.
