Good gear

My friend Erik makes awesome holsters. Since my 1957 Colt lacks rails, I recently added laser grips. One advantage: no need for new holsters and the activation is truly instinctive. Disadvantage: low-light use only, red isn't visible in daylight.

A great stocking-stuffer from my friend Bret. A high-carbon steel automatic paratrooper knife with a built-in strap cutter, made by Colonial Knives. Check your local laws on carrying or owning automatic knives. One country-wide exception to restrictions is for people with documented handicaps. If you have friends with hand or arm injuries, a switchblade would be a great present. That's where this one is going.

And this light was just close to hand in the studio, so I took a picture of it. For some reason, all my large lights congregate on the weapons or at the studio and I end up carrying 1 AA Fenix mini-light.

Insight Technology HX150 light.
