First thing I'd recommend is to make sure you get a hard armor backshell to go between the rifle and your body. Nobody plans to have a get off, but if you come off the bike and land on a rifle you're going to be badly hurt.
I've actually been thinking about this sort of problem quite a bit, as someone who rides and carries and is... somewhat paranoid about safety gear, having dumped a motorcycle at freeway speeds. What carry positions work with riding positions, what's going to happen if you come off the bike and hit the pavement at 75 mph, etc. (Your speed limits out there might not be that high, but ours here are.)
I was actually coming in here to say that like the bag pictured, I use a ballistic nylon guitar case as a "hidden" rifle case. Big sort of flattened out egg shape, with a zipper that runs around 2/3rds of the circumference so it opens out flat. If you got one that could be rigged like a messenger bag, with a three point harness, that might work pretty well for you. Especially if it's got a "Fender" or "Gibson" or "Rickenbacher" logo embroidered on it. It'll just look like you're a musician.
Thank you for your time and for being so detailed, bro. The guitar case really does look like an option, and I will take a look in this direction. Btw, here in Mass we have 65 mph limit on the highways, however no one will execute you for 75. Everything above depends upon the trooper's mood.
