Well...they don't require a lot of maintenance, and we could put it on the edge of the property--it's just that I found out honeybees are dying from one of the people I talked to at Ithaca College, and if more people keep them, they have a better luck of not dying out before 2025.

I can't imagine why we would want to encourage stinging insects, exactly, but if you'd like one, go ahead.

The ecological ramifications of this aside, you are the only person I know who would ever become emphatically invested in saving honeybees.

Am I? I'm pretty fond of them! If I put juice in my hands in the summer they come and lap it right out, and they don't sting at all if you're calm.
