I promise I haven't been looking for things. Not too hard, anyway. Huan is terrible about that, though.

I think you two are in cahoots. But it's okay, you'll never find them, I am the best at hiding things.

Hey, do you mind if we get a beehive this summer?

I would never. And I am shocked and dismayed by these accusations.

I can't imagine why we would want to encourage stinging insects, exactly, but if you'd like one, go ahead.

Now I just have to see if you've hidden mine anywhere around here...

Well...they don't require a lot of maintenance, and we could put it on the edge of the property--it's just that I found out honeybees are dying from one of the people I talked to at Ithaca College, and if more people keep them, they have a better luck of not dying out before 2025.

Look as much as you like, you won't find it.

The ecological ramifications of this aside, you are the only person I know who would ever become emphatically invested in saving honeybees.

I could cheat. Although that might get me into trouble.

Am I? I'm pretty fond of them! If I put juice in my hands in the summer they come and lap it right out, and they don't sting at all if you're calm.

It would absolutely get you into trouble. Christmas is less than two weeks away, I know you can be patient.

I'll leave it to you, then. And yes, I do think being fond of bees is pretty rare, but so are you.

I will be. Promise.

Well, thank you for not minding--both of those. We have enough space so they shouldn't bother us. (Or Huan.)
