Today is Cuddle Up Day. Share the love and warmth that comes with getting close to people and pets you care about. Cuddle up for a good movie, reading a book, or just watching the fire crackle in the fireplace. Treasure the simplicity of this action. Tonight I will cuddle some with my kids. They are big cuddlers. I think they may get that from me. I will also get to cuddle in with my guy too. I can’t think of anything better. I will pass along some mini cuddles in the form of hugs today too.
Tonight my kids, some of my friends, and I are going to see the Globetrotters. I have wanted to see them for a very long time ---maybe since I was their age and seen the commercials on television. When I was in college, I was asked to be manager of the women’s basketball team. They needed someone to help with the behind the scene paperwork and prep. I didn’t know a thing about basketball. Not really. I told them I know paperwork and can prep for any event but I don’t know a thing about basketball. I can learn though. Within a short time, I was hooked and have been since. During March Madness, I am known to yell at the television. Seriously, if they make it to that point they should know how to play as a team, drive the ball, and REBOUND. Basics are basics. I think of men’s basketball as faster paced. They can really move down the court and change direction in an instant. I think women’s basketball is more physical and in your face. Women tend to stick to fundamentals better than men.
I get my camera back tonight in time to capture some of the fun. I loaned it to a friend for a special project she was doing. I have to catch up on the 365 day project I am doing with Mel and Jen. Here is the link if anyone is interested in joining. My project will be started within the week.

As you know I have several best friends. Each year in January, I hold myself accountable for my plan of action by sending an email to them and talking about my last year and what I want for my next year. I found this practice is not only rewarding for me but for them as well. It really keeps us all on track. We make sure we appreciate the good and learn from the bad that the year threw at us. We remind each other of laughter moments, point out things that we could have done better, and encourage each other. We remind each other of things that we wanted to do for the upcoming year that slipped our minds. The growth, opportunities that weren’t missed, and openness of the group make each of us better. I think for me writing the email makes me appreciate life too. I know I accomplish things. I remember the small moments that are easily forgotten.
Another thing I do annual is make a photo album. I used to do a lot of scrapbooking but they got to big and bulky also costly. The last few years I have used the program on walmart.com. I keep my book covers the same- black leather with a cutout. The inside is where the difference is made. I can upload pictures throughout the year and then lay them out on a page. I can add text too. Then in January of the next year, I have the book printed. When I get it if I want I may add ticket stubs, cutouts, stickers. Walmart.com does have its limitations. I know there are other sites that offer similar things too.
