oh jesus christ on a cracker, christian bale's son in 3:10 to Yuma was the boy  in hoot. of course i was wrongfully attracted to him even at that time despite the fact that he was probably 12, and i predicted that his future would include him becoming woefully attractive. i was right.

and i don't think i've ever been more attracted to christian bale than in this movie.

i love westerns and even more than that, i just really love love between men. not sexual love per se, just understandingness and affection between friends. it really gets me.
