Cars and stuff and friends and stuff

The other day when it was 18 degrees in the morning, my car wouldn't start. I thought that might happen and had already warned Kathy I might have to take hers, so I did, that being the easy solution right there in the same driveway area.

I just scrounged rides for Friday and that all worked out. Now I'm off enjoying the rest of my weekend, having bought a new battery for the old beater. The one in there was 5 1/2 years old, so I'm aware that it had lived out its useful life. R. aka Woodrobin came over and jumpstarted it for me, and we went to Advance Auto Parts where they not only sell batteries, they install them for those of us who are automotivally challenged.

Now I'm in Lola's waiting for the poetry reading to start. And I'm still off Sunday and Monday, and I took Tuesday off, huzzah! So life feels pretty good right now, albeit a little on the chilly side still.

"They" are calling for snow Monday and Tuesday, but "they" were wrong the last time, so we'll see.

winter, car, weather, friends
