If You Don't See Me, Am I Still Here?
Bunny Rabbit is out in the yard again. The last few weeks, he has always been sitting in this one spot, right near the picnic table, same time every day. I see him from the kitchen window. At first, when I would leave my house through the back door, he would startle and hop away. Now he just sits there and watches me. As long as I don't appear interested in him, he doesn't move. As soon as I get in my car, he thinks I'm not there anymore and goes about his business. Right now he appears to be digging some sort of hole. And then rolling around in it. Then digging some more. When I get home from work at night, he's in my driveway. And watch his little cottontail hopping away from my headlights. I wonder where he goes in the winter? I hope he stays awhile. It's like having a pet you don't have to take care of. Very low maintenance.
