IT'S A GIRL!
A girl fetus, that is. Shiu Mang is pregnant and due on July 30.
Our baby gives every indication of being perfect. She's extremely active in the womb, kicking constantly or hiccoughing, never letting Shiu Mang forget she is there.
Of course we're all excited with the prospect of adding this life to our lives, but Ian more so than anyone, constantly talking and reading to her. He's very sweet.
Still haven't settled on a name. Shiu Mang suggested Tia early on, which I like, but she wasn't completely satisfied with the Chinese equivalents she came up with. There's also been some dissent in the family. Apparently a cousin's dog has that name.
We would like a name that holds up nicely in both Chinese and English, like we have with Ian (江亦安). Any Mandarin speakers out there, your suggestions are most welcome. Other speakers are also welcome, but whoever suggests Kwai Chang Caine, or something of that ilk, will get severely reprimanded.
