:( what a crappy day

I had my interview in Indy yesterday. I guess it went OK, despite me being 15 minutes late...yeah, I defintely left my house a little late & then kept getting lost on Keystone and couldn't find the place for the life of me. I had a minor breakdown on the phone w Sophia but she helped me thru it and I got there and everything. I don't think anyone other than the receptionist even noticed that I was late...apparently my interviewers were running late anyhow. I have mixed feelings as to whether or not I want that job if they offer it to me. The pay is pretty decent but it would apparently be a LOT of driving, to house visits and whatnot, it's in the ghetto of Indy, and there are 3 different shifts that I would possibly have to work...8:30-4:30, noon to 8:30, or 2:30-10:30...or something like that. :-/ Everyone is encouraging me to move to Indy, but I just don't know. :-/ Working in admissions at a university just sounds so much more appealing...but we'll see, who knows what will happen.

After the interview, which took about 45 mins, I met up w Sophia & one of her friends from work at Starbucks in the heart of the ghetto. I miss her *so* much! Anyway, we kind of came up w a new idea...apparently Kirstee is moving to the DC area for grad school in July, and Sophia is considering moving there too! And *hello*, Rosemary will be there...and Brett & Amy...& sometimes Will...& Beth Rosh...so we were talking about that, and all the people that we know in that area, and if Sophia decides to move there too, I really wanna go w her! We talked about living together and stuff, it would be soo fun. I doubt it will happen, but it's a nice thought.

After Starbucks I headed home, and decided to call my cousin Amy when I got close to Kokomo. She moved there a few months ago w her bf, and I hadn't seen her new house yet. She ended up being like 15 mins behind me on the highway, so she told me to pull off and wait for her when I got to Kokomo and I could follow her to her house. Well, let me just say, her new house is a fucking MANSION! I swear, it is probably the nicest house out of anyone in our entire family. I have no idea how she and her bf can afford to live there, but apparently he makes pretty good money...he has a brand new Trailblazer too. They should be engaged soon, I keep hoping every time I talk to her that they are...cause I will get to be in the wedding...I have a feeling he will propose any day now, and I'm sure w my luck the wedding will be sometime next summer :P But anyway, my cousin & her bf convinced me to just stay the night there cause we were gonna go out for drinks (but we never did), so I got to put their spare bedroom to use for the night. Then this morning I left when they went to work and I drove another hour and a half home. I stopped at the LaPorte library when I got into town and for some reason had this urge to check out a bunch of books. I haven't sat down and read a book just for fun since I was in high school, so I figure I'll spend the next couple of days sitting on the beach reading when we go up to Michigan.

Speaking of which, mom and I leave bright and early tomorrow morning to go up to Traverse City, Michigan. I'm just going w her to get away for a while she goes to a conference. After what happened tonight, though, I'm not really looking forward to it...

So this evening mom and I went to drop off my car at this guys house so he could look it over while we're gone, and then we went to Subway for dinner. We no more than got home, and I was getting my stuff out of the back of her car, when...the door shut...and was locked. And of course, the car keys were sitting on the drivers seat. And of course, my mom did not have a spare car key. So she about flipped her lid. She started yelling at me, and was getting absolutely hysterical...she's like, "I don't have time to deal w this, we have to finish packing up the house, we're leaving at 6am tomorrow and I still have to pack," etc. etc. Somehow thru all of that she was able to call a locksmith to come and unlock the car, and I had to pay the $40. It was not fun though...I started having flashbacks of my childhood, when I would accidentally do something that made her really mad, and she'd just go off on me. It was not fun...I felt like I was 7 years old again. :( Eventually as the night went on she got over it, but things are still tense around here. The next few days should be *great*...

So that was a summary of the eventful past 2 days. I didn't even write about what happened on Sunday...I went to visit my old childhood best friend, Alicia, that I haven't seen in like 4 years, then I went to meet that guy Neil that I met on the internet, then I drove to Valpo to see Lydia!! That will have to come in another post or something. Well I need to get to bed...I'll probably be internet-less until I get back on Saturday, unless I can go to the public library there or something. Goodbye for now!
