So...things are kind of looking up! I have an interview on Thursday for a part-time summer job as a Probation Officer Assistant here in town, which is a job that I have been applying for for the past 2 years. I know it's only a part-time job, and I should really be looking for a 'real job,' but I figure since my lease doesn't end until August I might as well just stay here all summer and make the most of it...soo it looks like this is what I'll be doing! Working at this job in the morning (7-10AM), and then the Tfund at night (5:30-9:30), and doing fun things like hitting up the pool during the afternoon hours. :) I'm hoping to be making about $250/wk, so that will work out nicely if I start this other job in May & I'm here all summer. :)
Yay! I've also been having a little bit of luck with finding a 'real' job...I had applied for about 7 jobs thru the State of Indiana webpage, for various Social Service and H/R positions...and 2 of them - one was an H/R-clerical kind of job with the Juvenile Div. of Corrections, and the other is a caseworker job in Valpo - said 'Final Screen' for the status of my applications...so I called both of those agencies this morning to see what exactly that meant, and the HR/clerical job has apparently been changed to more of just a clerical job, so the lady I talked to said that they had been getting ready to set up interviews when the position was changed by the higher-ups, and they are going to post this new job online soon. And for the Valpo caseworker job, I called there this morning and left a message with the Director, so I'm waiting for him to call me back. But if I could land an interview up there, whoa. That would be so awesome...esp. if I got the job and could start in like August...then go thru training for 3 months, I wouldn't really start working until like November...haha. Which means I could def. come back for Homecoming! OK, I'm getting too far ahead of myself now, but it's a nice thought...And I managed to find out what 'Final Screen' apparently means...that they are getting ready for the interview process! Which is a good thing! :)
OK I need to start writing this stupid 5pg paper about 'Mamma Mia' that is due tomorrow...too bad school is the last thing on my mind right now!
