What is the meaning of life?

How am I not myself?

How am I not myself?

How can I be anything other than myself?

If I am 'not self'.. then that 'not self' is now my self.

I can never be anything other than myself.

Enlightened states cannot be sought. The act of seeking denies them to you. They can only be found- or granted.

Surrender is the ultimate spiritual practice. Surrender the false self. Surrender the idol you've built of yourself and the image of 'your life'. Surrender the seeking and the wanting. Surrender your fears and desires, now and forever. Surrender to your non-peace, and watch it become transmuted into peace.

Surrender your mistrust and accept God. God is always with and within us. Always. There is no 'not God'. God contains and is beyond the level of duality. If life is a coin with two faces, good and bad, then God is the whole coin, and the world in which the coin resides.

Resistance to what-is is resistance to God. Trust in God to take you through the good and the bad. Surrender both the good and bad to God.

You will be taken beyond good and bad.

You are already beyond good and bad.

Imagine being engrossed in a movie. You laugh and cry with the characters in the movie. Your attention is totally absorbed and sees nothing beyond the screen. Then the movie ends.. and there you are. Characters and plots fall away and you go home.

Such is life. We are absorbed and see what is before us, nothing more. We laugh and cry with the minor victories and defeats which befall us without rhyme or reason. Then we die.. and yet.. there we are. Life falls away and then we go home.

But at any time during the movie you can choose to remember that you are in a theatre. At any time you can disengage yourself from the plot and remember that you are more than the story line. At any time we can choose to awaken.

When do we stop watching the movie of our lives and remember our life?
