So I haven't updated in a loooong time so I figured time to bore again. So Things have been going well still. The new position at work is great. They actually respect my opinion. I'm not used to this. I say something and there like lets make it happen. Its really nice. I get some travel out of it and training on new programs. Not a bad deal. Theres a possibility for a company laptop, career advancement and other things. So I think im in a good position for my career. This is the scary thing though. I'm thinking of going back to school in Fall '07 for a computer degree. It's scary two fold. One I'd have to be going back to school, but not just going back to school, but going to school and working full time. That would be a real pain in the ass. The second scary part would be that in order to get the computer degree I would probably want I most likely would have to take Calculus again. It's been so long since I've done calculus I don't know how well that would work. And on top of it I'm working 40 hours, It would be difficult to fit homework in. but I guess I would somehow make it work. I mean it would ultimately mean more money if I knew more computer stuff. Makes me more valuable yaddi yaddi yadda. I did take a quick look into where I could go to study and Roosevely actually looked like it had a decent program. Of course I would go in to see a counselor before I made a decision and probably talk to my boss about what computer things I might want to know about. What things would be most beneficial for my job and advancement. If I do go back to school don't be surprised if I hibernate for a while.
On the vacation front, Many of you know that I am planning on going back to Germany in September. For those of you I haven't told (I love talking abou this so sorry If I've been boring you with it) I am going to fly into frankfurt on September 15 and take a train up my mom's home town where my mom and I are gonna chill until my Grandma's b-day on that thursday. We are going to Celebrate her b-day and then the next day I'm going to hop a train to stuttgart and chill with my uncle for the weekend, where a will meet up with my cousins and party. Then the plan is maybe on monday or tuesday to hop a plane to spain to visit Jessica (If she's still willing to house me for a couple days) and hopefully experience some spanish culture that only someone like Jessica could introduce me to. then I have to find a flight back to frankfurt that lands sometime before my flight takes off on that sunday. Even though its still some time away, I'm still extremely excited about it. Last week my mom and I bought our tickets to Germany, so thats a little less money that I need to worry about saving.
Lets see coming back to the homefront, I bought tickets for the first fire game in the Soccer Stadium they built in bridgeview. I still have like 9 tickets I need to sell off so if anyone wants to go let me know. Tix are 30 bucks in the front middle section. Its section 107 if you wanna check it out on the stadium seating chart at
http://chicago.fire.mlsnet.com/MLS/chf/stadium/bridgeview/seating/. So if you wanna go let me know.
Also I have finally planned the long sought after annual Eric Bash. This year it will be on July 1st. festivities will be kicking off around 3ish. I will provide the Keg and some Food. in the format of brats, hotdogs, and hamburgers. People are welcome to bring Pop or Chips if they so choose. I will be grilling as usual. So come enjoy yourselves cause its always a Pimpin Good Time.
So I'm going to end this little note with a Poem that I wrote some months ago and that I've been meaning to put into Livejournal for a while. Feel free to comment as I am always looking for ways to make my writing better. And believe me I have lots of room for improvement
A Moment For Us
As 2 people meet
Their paths converge
Who knew what was in store
A meshing of minds
and telling of stories
Who knew what was in store
A friendship abounds
A relationship ensue
Who knew what was in store
The past is known
Their future unsure
but walk with me
While events unfold
Not much is certain
But one thing sure
Here in this place
is where these two should be
